Dr. O'Neil's Hot Topic
No more pre-medication! You should be jumping for joy by now. We just made your trip to the dentist less stressful. For decades the American Heart Association (AHA) recommended that patients with heart conditions pre-medicate prior to receiving dental treatment. The AHA believed that taking antibodies would prevent Endocarditis (Infection of the heart vale/inner lining). The American Heart Association new guidelines were published April 2007. The AHA are now recommending that most of theses patients no longer have to take short term antibiotics as a preventive measure prior to getting dental treatment. You can now sleep stress free prior to coming to our gentle office....conveniently located in Tamarac, FL.
